It took 21 games until Rittner Buam conceded the first defeat in regulation with WSV Sterzing Broncos Weihenstephan beating the leader 4:1 at home. While HC Pustertal Wolves got another win over HC Neumarkt, EC Bregenzerwald, EHC Alge Elastic Lustenau, Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey and HC Gherdeina took revenge for a defeat earlier this season.

On Saturday there are six games on the agenda of Sky Alps Hockey League. The away teams don’t have to travel too far as it comes to some local clashes.

In Thursday’s lone game Fassa Falcons beat EK Zeller Eisbären 4:3 after overtime. Geoff Walker became the hero in overtime with scoring his second of the night.

Lukas Kainz, who scored the lone goal for his side in Wednesday’s 2:1 defeat in Klagenfurt, is the top scorer of Red Bull Hockey Juniors. In our interview the 21-year-old Captain talks about hockey on senior level and much more.

The midweek games of Sky Alps Hockey League delivered some tough fights. While the Rittner Buam prolonged their winning streak after defeating EC Bregenzerwald, EC Stadtwerke Kitzbühel grinded out an shoot out win against HC Neumarkt.  HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice and EC KAC II also won their battles with one goal difference.
