In mid of december the U 20 World Championship in Division I was played. A perfect chance for the teams from Austria, Italy, Hungary and Slovenia to collect important experience and proofed their skills against other nations. A lot of the Young Stars already delivered a show of their talents in Sky Alps Hockey League and a few even in Erste Bank Eishockey Liga.

HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice beat EK Zeller Eisbären on Wednesday at home thanks two late (Power Play)-goals from Saso Rajsar (53./pp) and Nathan DiCasmirro (56./pp) with 2:0 and returned into the top 3. Goalie Rok Stojanovic saved all 26 shots from the Polar Bears and celebrated his first Shut Out in SKY Alps Hockey League.

Only two days after their last games, EC-KAC II and the Red Bull Hockey Juniors are in action again on Thursday. The Carinthians have the road game against leader Rittner Buam on the agenda, while the Red Bulls travel to WSV Sterzing Broncos Weihenstephan.

The EC KAC II booked the second consecutive win and narrowed the gap to other teams. They won with 3:2 against Gherdeina. In the second game the HC Pustertal booked a close win against the Red Bull Hockey Juniors with 1:0.

Sky Alps Hockey League heads into Christmas week with two games on Tuesday. While EC-KAC II hosts HC Gherdeina, the Red Bull Hockey Juniors travel to HC Pustertal Wolves. There is another game on Wednesday with HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice taking on EK Zeller Eisbären.
